Storytelling is an art traditionally practiced in the families from the older generation to the new generation. A school is also a large family and today the teachers of The British School Panchkula created a warm home like atmosphere by conducting a storytelling workshop for school children. They enacted short stories and encouraged the children to watch carefully. The educators followed it up by asking the students to do impromptu staging of the same stories. Aarush Gupta of Class-1 and Charvi of Class-3 staged the fable of The Ant and The Grasshopper. Samaira Varghese of Class-5 gave a good demonstration of voice modulation as she played an honest woodcutter while Inayat Chandra played the fairy. Mr. Sanjay Sethi, the School Director applauded the effort of the teachers and said that story telling is an out of the box teaching practice that develops the public speaking skills, expressions and voice modulation in a fun environment.
